Connect Interactive Brokers
The alert host runs IB Gateway. You connect your IBKR account id in Settings so stock and crypto signals can dry-run brackets against that account. Orders stay off until an explicit go-live.
1. Gateway on the host
- Install and log in to IB Gateway (paper recommended first).
- Enable API connections. Paper Gateway usually listens on port 4002; live on 4001.
- Operators set IBKR_HOST, IBKR_PORT, and IBKR_CLIENT_ID in the process environment.
2. Find your account id
In Client Portal or TWS, copy the account id (for example U1234567). Paper and live ids differ — match the Gateway login you are using.
3. Paste into Settings
- Open Settings → IBKR.
- Paste the account id.
- Check paper when the Gateway session is paper.
- Leave Primary off for dry-run observe. Primary only matters once live send is enabled and should suppress Webull/BloFin for that user.
- Click Connect IBKR. We verify the account appears in Gateway managed accounts, then store ciphertext only.
Security
- Gateway login stays on the host; the app stores only the account id.
- Dry-run never calls placeOrder.
- Disconnect in Settings before rotating or closing an account.
